Hi-Tech Halters - Get the BEST
and forget the rest!!!

The Hi-Tech Halter is a newly designed and patented halter that has been developed to overcome many of the problems associated with conventional strap and rope halters.

The Hi-Tech Halter was designed by Mr. Byron Grant, who has years of experience training horses. These halters have been well thought out and built to be durable and provide you with a quality product.

One of the biggest differences with our halters is the change in design. Our halter has one continuous (patented) headstall that puts all the pressure on the back of the head, instead of on their nose, crown, & jaw!

Frustrations associated with typical Strap and Rope halters:
  • Most strap halters will break with just a few hundred pounds of pull and they become weak and worn out where the strap passes thru the buckle.
  • When halters break under stress, horses have been seriously injured and killed when they flip over and hit their head on the ground.
  • Typical halters can easily be rubbed off by the horse.
  • Other halters put pressure on the nose, jaw and head which can cause the horse to pull back even more as he tries to escape the claustrophobic pressure.
  • Rope and strap halters require two hands to put the halter on - the Hi-Tech Halter can be easily put on with one hand while you maintain control with your free hand.
  • Many people don't like tying the knot to secure a rope halter, and may tie the knot incorrectly.
  • Other halters aren't adjustable, which can cause frustration as you try to find the right size halter in your tack shed or end up using the incorrect size for your horse.

Don't Confuse Your Horse...

The next time your horse pulls back when tied with a typical rope or strap halter, pay attention to where the pressure is directed. You'll see that there is often pressure on the nose, head and jaw.

Let me illustrate...

Conventional strap and rope halters pull across the back of a horse's head, under its jaw, and over the nose. This means that the harder the horse pulls back, the tighter the halter becomes on the horses head which causes claustrophobia.

With normal halters, this puts most of the pressure on the horse’s nose which is usually a queue for a horse to go backwards.  The harder they pull, the more they want to pull because of the pressure on their nose and when they've pulled hard enough, snap, the halter breaks and there are several problems you now have to deal with.

In many cases, horses have sustained brain damage or been killed when a halter breaks under this type of pressure and the horse flips over backwards and hit the back of their head where the brain is located. Additional injuries to the neck, spine and other areas are possible as well.

Our halters put all the pressure at the top of their head behind the ears where it belongs.

Because the headstall is continuous on a Hi-Tech halter from the tie-ring all the way to the back of the horses head, you don't have the additional confusing pressure on the nose and jaw.

Solving the Pressure Problem

Unlike other halters, the Hi-Tech Halter uses a continuous band of nylon webbing (the headstall) to transfer all the pressure from the tie ring, directly to the top of the head (the Poll) where the pressure should be directed.

If the horse does not respond to the pressure, the reinforced headstall (rated at 6000 lbs) will securely hold the horse in place. Even as the horse pulls back and pressure is applied to the tie ring, the noseband of the halter will remain loose, without putting any pressure on the nose or on the jaw.

Finally there's a halter that's durable AND functional!

Hi-Tech Halters are made from high quality nylon webbing that is rated at 6000 lbs. Most parts of the halter are doubled, with the critical areas being tripled and sewn together.

The tie ring is 5/16 thick and rated at over 5000lbs, and provides ample room to connect your lead line. Our tie ring is unequaled by any other conventional halter!

The headstall is one continuous piece of webbing that is doubled and sewn without passing through a buckle (which is a weak point on typical halters) and thereby utilizing 100% of the webbing strength.

We know it’s a GREAT halter, and we’ll stand behind it!!

We've put a lot of thought and design work into our halters and we're confident that you'll be satisfied with the quality and durability!

We provide a 3 year unconditional guarantee on our nylon halters!! You won't find that kind of confidence on other halters!
